Santa Cruz
On Sunday we went camping at New Brighton beach in Santa Cruz. It actually rained when we first arrived on Sunday. We couldn't believe it. Our friends Davin and Robin met us there with their two boys, Jack and Quinn. Quinn is almost 2 1/2 so he was perfect for Ella to boss around. We spent Monday afternoon playing at the beach and the evening at the Boardwalk. It was 65 cent ride night so every ride was just one ticket. Ella got a bit freaked out on the Haunted House, but recovered nicely on the airplanes. Quinn didn't want to ride anything, but once he got on, we couldn't keep him off. He even wanted to go on the log ride, which Ella chickened out of.
Leo did great on his first camping trip. He slept well and liked sitting on the beach. Next year he will be ready for the rides with Jack. We wanted to stay longer, but are looking forward to Tahoe next week.

Birthday Fun
Ella's birthday party was a big success. She had a great time. She wore her pink birthday gown and enjoyed being the center of attention. She got everything she wanted and couldn't wait to play with all her new things. She said that her favorite thing was her new vaccuum. She has been cleaning our house ever since. Unfortunately the vaccuum isn't real, a major flaw in my opinion.
