Married?

We are packing today for our trip to Lake Tahoe. We are all very excited to get away for a few days before the new school year begins. Ella can't wait to play at the beach. This will be Leo's first time visiting Tahoe. We can't wait to sit at the beach, play miniature golf, and relax as a family.
Today Ella used some of her birthday money to buy an Ariel bride dress. She loves it! She wore it down to the corner store. She would run away from us while JD yelled, "Wait, I don't even know your name." She loved every minute of it. One passerby said, "they are marrying younger and younger aren't they?" It was kind of funny to watch her in her get up! Leo however was unphased until Ella put the veil on him, then he laughed. Boy, we hate to see what happens when he is a bit bigger.

Don't You Love...

Today Ella got her haircut at a salon downtown. Arvin cuts her grandma's hair and told us that she would cut Ella's. Her hair was getting quite long and stringy so we thought a short bob would be a nice change. She did a great job sitting in the chair and was only nervous at the beginning. Once she heard "Celebration" on the stereo she smiled and said, "I like this song and getting my haircut." After her haircut we went to the Park Chalet to help Lale celebrate her birthday with some friends. Ella had a Shirley Temple and learned the names of new plants on a walk with Jessica.

Pimp My Ride
Today we went to the zoo with one of JD's coworkers and his family. We didn't know it was Fisher Price day. Ella got to drive a mini Escalade. She was a great driver and only crashed a few times. Unfortunately they didn't have a '98 VW Golf, probably a little more our speed.
After the zoo we went to Grandma and Poppi's house for a visit. Ella and Poppi were playing a question game designed for 3-4 year olds. After playing for a while, Poppi needed to look on the back of one of the questions to find the answer because he was unsure. Ella then took the cards from him and brought them to Grandma. She told her,"Poppi doesn't know how to play this so will you play?" It was pretty funny.
Leo is on his second day of no sleep during the day. He didn't sleep more than 45 minutes yesterday and is now starting to be a pill going to sleep at night. Lets hope this is just a two day "phase". Ella is enjoying being a big sister. Tonight she pulled out all of Leo's toys and played with him (or at least shoved them in his face). Leo loved every minute of it!
